This office handles the responsibilities for Government Buildings, Maintenance and Solid Waste Management. Under the direction of Bill Holton, this office is responsible for operation of the various solid waste recycling centers and the maintenance programming for all County owned facilities.

This office is responsible for management of the local parks and recreation programs offered by the County government which inclues a variety of sports programs ranging from baseball, softball, soccer, football, tennis, basketball and several community leagues that participate in these programs.

The public library maintains a vast array of books, periodicals and other media for use by citizens of Butts County. It is part of the larger Flynt River Regional Library and the Georgia PINES network which opens the library up to a much larger collection of reading and media materials availability.

This department is responsible for the planning, maintenance and upkeep of County public roads, streets and bridges, as well as operation of the County motor vehicle maintenance shop and programming.
