| Butts County Animal Control This office bears responsibility for the operations of the Butts County kennel as well as animal control and collection of unwanted, orphaned or stray animals. Adoption activities are highly encouraged as an alternative to disposal of animals and an agressive adoption program has been implemented and operation for the past several years. Working in concert with local veterinarian offices and the humance society, Butts County Animal Control has successfully adopted hundreds of animals out the kennel and reunited many more animals with their owners. | Butts County E-911 Communications This office handles emergency public safety communications for all emergency response agencies in the County government. This includes the handling and management of the complex E-911 emergency number system, two-way radio systems, and the receipt/processing/dispatch/disposition of calls for assistance by the public. Butts County was the 56th county in Georgia to adopt and implement E-911 which has been in continuous operation since 1993. | Butts County Emergency Management Agency This office is responsible for predisaster mitigation and emergency planning for all of Butts County and includes development of emergency response plans, hazard identification and prevention, emergency response and situation management, coordination of public safety resources and recovery operations maangement. | Butts County Fire Department & Emergency Medical Services This office is responsible for fire response, suppression and mitigation activities within Butts County and the City of Jenkinsburg, as well as Emergency Medical Services (Ambulance) for all of Butts County. Most of their response area now carrys a class 6 ISO rating or better which is a very good rating as it keeps home insurance costs lower.
